Wonderland Productions is an independent production company based in Sydney owned by writer/director/ producer Claire Haywood and producer /manager Kingston Anderson. The company was established in 1994 to produce a national tour of Claire’s acclaimed production of her stage play Table For One?, funded by Playing Australia and the state regional theatre companies.
After successful careers in the theatre, Claire and Kingston expanded the company in 1999 to focus on film and television production. While developing their slate, they gained a wealth of experience working on TV dramas and documentary programs for major local and international companies including Paramount Pictures, Southern Star, Millennium Pictures, Matt Carroll Films, Granada, Endemol, Deluxe and the Warner Group. Claire has produced factual programs for all of the major television networks, working as an Executive Producer/Series Producer/Writer, including the Logie Award-winning series Kings Cross ER 1 & 2, Kalgoorlie Cops (Foxtel) Crash Test Mummies & Daddies for the ABC, Storm Season (10 network). She produced and directed the comedian-driven series Unreal Estate (9 network) the 8 x 26 docudrama Giving Life (9 network) and Chan & Dee's Drink Tank for Wonderland Productions. She was Mentor Producer for the 2019 SBS Short Form Initiative and is a script editor and casual lecturer in screenwriting at the Australian Film Television & Radio School.
Wonderland’s TV credits include the 30 minute documentary Freeing the Song produced for the ABC Compass program (2023), the 4 part ob doc series Taxi School for SBS (2008), the 1 hour bio doc Kulka for NITV (2010) and Debi Marshall Investigates:Frozen Lies which they developed and later co-produced with Media Stockade for Foxtel (2019). Feature credits include the documentary The Pink House which won the Documentary Australia Foundation Prize for Best Australian Documentary at the Sydney Film Festival 2017. The film has screened nationally and internationally at DOCNYC 2017, San Francisco Indiefest 2018 and on SBS and UK TV. Wonderland recently produced the 6 x 14 min comedy series Chan & Dee's Drink Tank, created and written by Helen O'Connor, Louise McCabe and Claire Haywood.
